9. Budapesti Emberi Jogi Fórum - 2016. november 17-18.

A Külgazdasági és Külügyminisztérium 2016. november 17-én és 18-án immáron kilencedik alkalommal rendezi meg a Budapesti Emberi Jogi Fórumot. Az előző évekhez hasonlóan a konferencia lehetőséget biztosít az emberi jogok nemzeti és nemzetközi szakértői, kormányzati és nem-kormányzati szervezetek képviselői, valamint tudományos kutatók számára a közös érdeklődésre számot tartó aktuális emberi jogi kérdések megvitatására. A 9. Budapesti Emberi Jogi Fórum témaköreit az adott tematika egy-egy elismert, magyar emberi jogi szakértője moderátori közreműködésével vitatják meg a panelbeszélgetések előadóinak referátumát követően a résztvevők.


2016 számos jelentős nemzetközi emberi jogi instrumentum és koncepció elfogadásának évfordulója, amelyekről az idei Fórum is megemlékezik, s a következő négy emberi jogi kérdéskört tűzi napirendjére:

  1. Panel: A hatékony multilateralizmus szerepe az emberi jogok szolgálatában – 50 éves az ENSZ Politikai és polgári jogok egyezségokmánya, valamint a Gazdasági, szociális és kulturális jogok egyezségokmánya, 10 éves az ENSZ Emberi Jogi Tanácsa

     

  2. Panel: A tömeges atrocitások és az erőszakos szélsőségesség megelőzése a védelmi felelősség összefüggésében – 10 év távlatában

     

  3. Panel: Kisebbségi jogok –  5 éves az Európai Unió Roma Stratégiája

     

  4. SDG 16. cél: Békés és befogadó társadalmak megteremtése a fenntartható fejlődés érdekében, az igazságszolgáltatáshoz való hozzáférés biztosítása mindenki számára, jól működő, elszámoltatható és befogadó intézmények kiépítése minden szinten – a jó kormányzás emberi jogi dimenziói a 2030 Fenntartható Fejlődési Keretrendszer végrehajtásának összefüggésében

                       

A konferenciát Szijjártó Péter külgazdasági és külügyminiszter 2016. november 17-én 08:15 órakor nyitja meg.

A Fórum helyszíne a Külgazdasági és Külügyminisztérium konferenciaterme. 17-18 November 2016, 9th Budapest Human Rights Forum


The Ninth Budapest Human Rights Forum will be organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on 17 and 18 November 2016. As in the past, the conference will bring together national and international human rights experts, representatives of non-governmental and governmental organizations and the academies. There will be four panel discussions with four to six panellists in each moderated by a distinguished Hungarian expert of the given topic.

As the year 2016 is marked by anniversaries of the adoption of several landmark human rights’ instruments and concepts, the panel discussions of this year conference will have also a commemorative character and will focus on the following issues:

1.         Panel: Effective Multilateralism in the field of human rights – 50 years of the International Covenants on Political and Civil Rights and on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and 10 years of the establishment of the UN Human Rights Council

2.         Panel: Prevention of mass atrocities and violent extremism, and the responsibility to protect – 10 years later

3.         Panel: Minority rights  -  5 years of the EU Framework for national roma integration strategies

4.         Panel: SDG Goal 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels – Human Rights dimensions of good governance and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

H.E. Mr. Péter Szijjártó Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade will open the Forum at 08:15 on 17 November 2016.

Security check to access and registration will be available on 17th November 2016 between 07:00-07:40 hours, on 18th November 08:00-09:00 hours at the venue of the Forum at 1027 Budapest, Bem tér 4.
